In September 2014, I completed my Bachelor of Economics at the University in St. Gallen. Alongside my studies I worked at the Institute of Business Education and Educational Management. Most recently, I had the chance to intern with one of the leading wealth managers worldwide, UBS AG, as well as the Swiss chocolate factory, Lindt & Sprüngli AG. Additionally, I have been an active member of the “Swiss Youth Choir” for several years. During my studies as well as professional experience, I realized that I very much appreciate structured and logical thinking but still consider social factors and emotional thinking to be fundamental in today’s business world. Therefore, I am keen to study at the interface of accounting, organizations and institutions which combines numbers and financials with an interdisciplinary social science perspective.
Studying at LSE allows me to broaden my horizon and profit form a world-class faculty and an excellent community from all around the globe. The prestigious program provides me with the knowledge and skills needed for various careers, including academic research at the doctoral level.
The financial support of the Fondation Zdenek et Michaela Bakala Geneve is crucial to my ambition of studying at one of the leading institutions for social sciences and one of the best ranked and most reputable universities in the world. I am truly looking forward to engaging in this enriching / life changing experience and exciting challenge!
