Intrigued by living languages and passionate about diving, I studied bilingual French-English at the André-Chavannes College in Geneva, while dedicating about twenty hours a week to my sport, diving. In the Swiss national team since 2012, I won 15 Swiss championship titles and participated in 3 finals at the European Junior Championships.
Arriving at the end of my college education, my desire to pursue quality studies abroad is growing, but I’m not ready to give up my sport. I quickly realize that the prestigious Harvard University is my ambition. I pass the standardized American tests (SAT) and I rank in the top 4% of the United States in mathematics and top 16% in English. I send my application; out of 40’000 applicants, only 2’000 are retained for the program the next return … But after all, who does not try anything has nothing, right?
In December, I receive my letter of admission to Harvard University, where I will study economics until my bachelor’s degree in 2022. I hope to be able to combine my mathematical mind and my language skills through this science. I will also join the university diving team at Harvard and represent the university in American tournaments in addition to international competitions with the Swiss team.
Today, I finish my bilingual maturity with honors and I am about to fly to Harvard, thanks to the Zbenek Foundation and Michaela Bakala. I want to warmly thank the foundation for its support.
